For the most part, these are good and necessary things to think about, but we need to be careful. If we spend all of our mental energy on managing today, we will have none left to dream and create a better tomorrow. If we continue to allow our mind to only think "have to" thoughts, we will soon lose our ability to think "what if" thoughts.
This ability to imagine, to dream, to ask "what if" is what separates us from a pigeon. A pigeon doesn't say to itself, "I wonder where I'll be in five years. What do I want my life to look like? Who do I want to surround myself with? Where do I wanna live and what do I want to do?" The only thing a pigeon thinks is, "Eat. Fly. Poop. Shelter. Don't get hit by car." Pigeons don't dream. You can though, but we only will if we start intentionally making time for it.
